by super storm sandy are asking president obama for a boost in disaster aid. asking president obama to add more funding to 2013 budget request. the request for more aid comes as the president and congress are debating how to avoid massive tax heights and spending cuts. >>> and after two weeks of no electricity some are suing the ppany on long island. the chief operating officer is also resigning after hundreds protested at the company's headquarters. meanwhile, some homeowners are getting confusing letters about their homes. the city is imposing fines apparently for not fixing building violations that were actually caused by the storm. >>> the statue of liberty and liberty island will remain closed until further notice. the park service is continuing to examine and repair infrastructure. the statue of liberty just reopened in october. the damage includes missing railings, damaged walkways and shut down of all mechanical systems. >>> a little closer to home. good news for ocean city. the city's famous fishing pier will be rebuilt soon. the pilings that were left standing have now been remov
sandy hit. the robbie might be related to other crimes in the area. if you have any information, police want to hear from you. you can remain anonymous. >>> police are still on the hunt for two men believed to be involved in a taco bell manager. the manager was shot when he confronted people who were fighting in the parking lot. that fight had spill over from a nearby pizza hut. the manager is still in critical condition. meantime, a house in montgomery county is a total loss. you can see the home is engulfed in flames. this happened around 10:00 last night. no one was hurt. investigators have not said anything about what caused this particular blaze. >> a house explosion making headlin this morning. this happened in indianapolis. but investigators still don't know what caused it. >> the explosion was big. 80s homes were affected by this blast. reaction from one of the homeowners. >> a vigil has been held for a teacher and her husband. the pair were killed saturday night after an unexplained explosion ripped through their neighborhood. two homes were leveled during this. five areexpecte

that last push after super storm sandy when he appeared working together with a republican governor. and really at one point at the convention and so forth, how much did that sort of message, how did that resonate with voters or anything to do with his last minute push? >> since i predicted the election two and a half years before that. the beauty of the keys as they stay the same. through all the ups and downs. obama had some real low points in this campaign. some pretty good high points. but you can say he ran a great campaign. he gave a mediocre convention speech. he had a historic melt down in the first debate losing it by the biggest margin of any candidate in history. and he was faulted by those same pundants for not being specific enough and clear enough. all of the receipt troe specktive pundans. so easy to explain once you know the answer. they can point to anything they want. it has no scientific validity whatsoever unless you have a system that can predict results in advance retrospective explanation. it's fun. it's great but zero scientific value. >> you have those 13 cr
to areas hardest hit by sandy. officials say voting will go forward in new york and new jersey. generators will be brought in to polling centers without power. in some locations paper ballots will be used. county officials could ask for voting will be extended by a day if turn out tomorrow is less than 25%. >>> some victims got a rude wake up call today. an earthquake. a small tremor hit around 1:20 this morning. centered in ringwood new jersey. some residents reported hearing a loud boom at the time. there was no reported damage. >>> and today residents will be allowed back to their homes to chek out damage and grab belongings. more than $150 million in aid for those affected by the super storm. unfortunately, more bad weather may be on the way with high winds and rain expected from that system that tucker mentioned a few minutes ago later this week. >>> the hurricane caused a ripple affect causing the cancellation of the new york city marathon. >> some of the runners got to work helping in the recovery efforts. sara is back in studio with more on that. really good to hear. >> it really i
